This SHRN report brief  explores how updating terminology—from “e-cigarettes” to “e-cigarettes/vapes”—affects adolescents’ responses to The SHRN Student Health and Well-being Survey 2023 .

Drawing on data from over 11,000 students aged 11–16 years, the research brief  examines whether this shift influences reported usage, age of onset, and perceptions of harm.
